Controlling the grid display in 3ds max

           In today tutorial we will learn about Controlling the grid display in 3ds max  This command displays the Grid And Snap Settings dialog. This modeless dialog establishes settings and options for snaps, theHome Grid, and user-defined grids.
  • Standard menu: Tools menu > Grids and Snaps > Grid and Snap Settings
  • Enhanced menu: Scene menu > Grids and Snaps > Grid and Snap Settings
  • Right-click any snap toggle button on the main toolbar.
  • Shift+right-click a viewport. >> Snaps Shortcut Menu >> Snap Options quadrant > >Grid and 
snap setting
Controls on the Grid And Snap Settings dialog determine which snap settings are used when you activate snaps by clicking 3D Snap Toggle. Adjusting any of these snap settings does not automatically turn on snaps.
You can use objects within an XRef scene as snap references.

Procedures

To change grid and snap settings:
  1. Choose Tools menu (or Scene menu if using the Enhanced menu system)  Grids And Snaps  Grid And Snap Settings and click the appropriate tab.
  2. Choose the type of snap you want (Standard or NURBS).
  3. Select the snap settings.
